Accessibility

Built to be used by everyone.

A platform for the neurodivergent community has to be one that community can actually use. We take that seriously.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely used to make websites usable by people with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time checkbox. We keep working at it.

What we have built in

Readable contrast

Text and background colors are chosen to meet AA contrast for legible pages.

Keyboard access

Every link, button, and control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a skip-to-content link on each page.

Clear structure

Pages use proper headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them in a logical order.

Announced results

Our interactive tools announce their results to screen readers. Nothing important is left silent.

Reduced motion

If your device is set to reduce motion, our animations turn off.

No time pressure

Nothing on the site is timed. You can work through the tools at your own pace.

Plain language

We write in clear, plain language and avoid jargon, which supports cognitive accessibility.

Where we are still working

Accessibility is never finished. Some documents we link to and some third-party websites in our resource directories are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. If you hit something that is hard to use, we want to know. We will do our best to fix it or get you the information another way.
